Eriq Johnson, a producer, a DJ, a label owner, began making music in 1995. His first musical compositions written for theatre plays gained popularity and recognition at the music festivals in Avignon and Berlin. For a long time he had occupied himself with writing music for television and radio advertisements. Since 2000 he has been working increasingly as a DJ and performed in almost all countries of the European continent, including Russia and Malta.
Eriq Johnson shows different facets of his talent being very successful in various music genres such as electro, house, techno and lounge.
At the end of 2007 he launched his recording label Musicheads, which collaborates both with established stars of the music scene and new upcoming artists.
In 2008 Eriq initiated a music project Deeper Sublime which reflects his passion for chill-out music. The project involves Eriq Johnson’s collaboration with such renowned artists as Marga Sol, Matisse, MoVoX etc. All the tracks of Deeper Sublime were released in the numerous compilations by the best chill-out labels like Clubstar, Sine Music, Audio Lotion etc. and received responses from the most notable artists working in the chill-out genre. The debut album of Deeper Sublime will also include the cover versions of such famous tracks as Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence and Chariots of Fire. This CD will be available March 2009 in the best music stores worldwide.
Eriq Johnson also continues to produce lounge tracks under his name. In July 2008 he put out the EP Berlin Night. The tracks Out of your mind and Femme Fatale from this release have got the most favourable responses from artists, DJs and fans from all over the world. For a long time this EP has been storming the charts of the download music stores.
Eriq Johnson is also passionate about club music. In 2008 he produced more than 10 releases on the leading labels in dance. In December 2008 his vinyl Silver Grace with the remixes from Fukkk Offf and ACK&Simon Point was released. Since November 2008 Eriq Johnson has led a weekly program MixParty on the French radio TonicFM where he presents best tracks from such labels as Diventa Music, Musicheads and others.
Eriq’s music career has been expanding progressively and continues to grow. In 2008 alone, his projects had over 40 releases, where most tracks reached the Top 10 of the leading music download stores such as Beatport, Juno Download, etc.
He collaborated and was released on the compilations with such artists as Bob Sinclar, David Guetta, Jean Michel Jarre, Funkerman, Fedde Le Grand, Paul Johnson, Fukkk Offf, Eric Prydz, Deadmau5, Tom Novy, Oka, Lemongrass, Yoad Nevo & Gil Brown (Sugababes, Moby, Ronan Keating, etc) and many more
